Fly Casting for Beginners

For those with no or little fly casting experience. We cover rods, lines, leaders, and start with the 4-part forward cast. Later we discuss presentations, the wind and common casting faults. We do the roll cast, followed by shooting line and casting for accuracy in spite of the wind. A discussion of various options of equipment and fly selections will follow. For those that need practice with knots or leader systems, that is included. Some equipment is available for loan. GLASSES AND HATS ARE REQUIRED. We meet at the small pond East of McCormicks Grill at the Golf Center.
