Goodyear Shop Guidelines
The Association maintains and staffs a gift shop in Goodyear Cottage in the Historic District with the work of members displayed on consignment. The following information is for members who wish to place items in the shop for sale. - Artist must be a current member with dues paid by April 1 each year.
- Entries must be made by artist, undamaged, clean, seasonally appropriate and shop ready.
- Items must be of size and weight to be handled by one person.
- Items in the shop are on consignment. It is the responsibility of the Artist to report income from sales to IRS.
- Artists set their own prices. Minimum price $5.00.
- Artists are paid monthly 75% of sold item price. Check sent in mail.
- Display of items is done by shop team only.
- To enter items, go to JIAA website, login and go to tools to enter information for price tags.
- Tags will be in your folder at JIAA. Attach to your items and leave in kitchen.
- Painting tags are to be attached to white hanging tags (in kitchen) attached to back of painting hanging below painting on right side facing picture.
- Cork Dots (in kitchen) must be placed on hard bottom shelf items.
- Items may remain in shop for 180 days, then removed by artist. After 194 days items will be considered abandoned and property of JIAA to be used for fund raising.
- Orange Removal Slips (in kitchen) must be filled out and left on computer.

Inventory Management of Entries
Entry Limitations
- Ten (10) items per medium per artist. Ornaments are a medium.
- A maximum of 3 pieces of original wall art allowed.
- Wall art must not exceed 120 inches in perimeter.
- Wall art must have a wire on back or a 1 inch loop. No sawtooth hangers.
- Photography is original art.
- All prints including giclees will be displayed in bins only.
- Prints must be attached to a board not thicker than 1/4” covered by a plastic envelope or shrink wrapped. Label prints as limited or unlimited editions.
- Books- writers can enter 10 different titles. Additional copies will be displayed depending on space and Shop Manager’s discretion.
ALL SHOP ENTRIES AND GUIDELINES ARE AT THE SHOP MANAGER’S DISCRETION AND WILL BE ADJUSTED AT TIMES DUE TO SPACE LIMITATIONS, SHOWS AND FESTIVALS.
ARTISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR INVENTORY AND ACCEPT THAT FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO SELL THEIR WORK THROUGH THE JIAA THEY WILL NOT HOLD JIAA RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE.
JIAA IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER 501 (C3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION.
ARTISTS WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM AT GOODYEAR COTTAGE BEFORE LEAVING ITEMS FOR THE SHOP. AN ARTIST SIGNATURE INDICATES THE ARTIST AGREES TO THE USE OF PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THEIR WORK FOR ADVERTISING AND SOCIAL MEDIA BY THE JIAA.
