Updated!
We really need your help to raise the remainder of the funds needed for the expansion project. Renovation work is well underway! You can view some of the pictures on the new 2026 Expansion Project page. As of now we still need $74,000. As we are a 501c3, your donation may qualify for a tax deduction.
Help us Expand!
The Jekyll Island Arts Association (JIAA) continues its Capital Campaign to fund the expansion of its campus to accommodate its many artistic activities. JIAA has leased and will re-purpose part of the old Jekyll Island Fire Station on Stable Road to expand its classroom space and move the pottery studio out of the frequently flooded Goodyear Cottage basement. We are grateful that the Jekyll Island Authority identified this space near Goodyear Cottage for our use. The new space will enable the Association to better support the artistic, cultural, literary, and educational development of Jekyll Island and the local community.
The campaign goal is $300,000, which JIAA estimates to be the cost of re-purposing and equipping the identified part of the Fire Station. This work includes demolition of walls, removal of carpeting then refinishing floors, reworking several doors, adding an ADA compliant restroom, upgraded wiring for kilns, lighting and wheels, adding lighting and HVAC in the large engine bay space, and installation of additional sinks with clay traps.
We are well on our way – BUT we urgently need your help. We must raise an additional $74,000 to meet our goal.
JIAA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations may be tax deductible.
Thank you for your support!
