SUMMARY:Beginning Mahjong Jekyll Island Version
DESCRIPTION:The game of Mahjong\, with origins in China\, is surrounded by myth and debate. Some say that Confucius developed the game around 500 BC. The Peoples Republic of China banned the game in 1949 because it was… Capitalistic… in nature. (The ban has since been removed.) Here on Jekyll Island the game began in 1982. In this class\, learn the Jekyll Island variety in a social\, non-competitive atmosphere. The game is played with tiles and is similar to the western game of Rummy.
