SUMMARY:Observational Drawing
DESCRIPTION:Through this course the students will learn to see and draw the everyday world around them. The requirement to obtain the keys to drawing is a desire to view the world as an artist does. The class is directed to students of all levels. If you think “I can’t draw”\, you are welcome here. If you have ever learned to ride a bike\, then you can learn to draw. Learn to draw\, and see the world with new eyes! Over the duration of the course\, the student will learn the following: 1. To evaluate the perception of depth\, scale\, proportion\, figure/ground relationships\, color theory. 2. To compose observed situations in relation to a given format. 3. To practice and acquire skills in drawing the object in a timely manner. 4. To practice and acquire skills in perspective drawing. 5. To demonstrate self-critical analysis of the student’s own drawing.

SUMMARY:Intro to Knitting
DESCRIPTION:We will learn about different kinds of knitting needles\, yarns\, yarn needles\, stitch holders\, markers and place holders. We will talk about different knit stitches. You will also receive many sources of knitting help\, advice and patterns. We will learn the basic knit stitch by making a project bag. If time and interest allow\, we will make a scarf or dishcloth.
