Manage Gallery Exhibitions - Help
Overview
This dashboard lets you manage gallery exhibitions for the JIAA Goodyear Gallery. You can create new exhibitions, assign artists, edit exhibition details, and print labels and lists.
Summary Bar
The four cards at the top of the page show at-a-glance counts:
- Total Galleries - All exhibitions on record
- Active Now - Exhibitions currently on display
- Upcoming - Future exhibitions not yet started
- Total Artists - Number of unique artists assigned across all exhibitions
Current & Upcoming Tab
Shows all exhibitions that have not yet ended. Each row displays the gallery name, dates, reception date, assigned artists, and comments.
Status badges indicate whether an exhibition is:
- Active - Currently on display (between start and end dates)
- Upcoming - Scheduled but not yet started
Past Exhibitions Tab
Shows all completed exhibitions, organized by year with the earliest years at the top. This tab serves as a historical record of past gallery shows.
Create New Tab
Use this tab to create a new gallery exhibition:
- Enter the Gallery Name (the exhibition title)
- Select the Display Start Date - the end date and reception date will auto-fill to match, then adjust as needed
- Select the Display End Date
- Select the Reception Date (opening night)
- Optionally add a Comment
- Click Create Gallery to save
After creating a gallery, use the Edit button to add artists to it.
Editing a Gallery
Click the Edit button on any gallery row to open the edit dialog. From here you can:
- Change the gallery name, dates, or comment
- Add an artist - Type the artist's last name in the "Add Artist" field, select from the dropdown, choose their media type, and click "Add"
- Remove an artist - Click the X button next to their name
- Change an artist's media - Use the media dropdown next to their name
- Click Update Gallery to save changes
- Click Delete This Gallery to permanently remove the exhibition
Artists with expired memberships will show "EXP" after their name.
Artist Actions
Each artist listed under a gallery has clickable action buttons:

Prints a list of all items entered by this artist for the gallery |

Prints wall labels (artist name, title, media, price) for display next to artwork |

Prints price labels/tags for this artist's gallery items |
Tips
- Create the gallery exhibition first, then add artists to it using the Edit button
- After artists are assigned, they can enter their own items through the member portal or you can enter items for them by clicking their name
- All dates use the format YYYY-MM-DD
- Gallery names and comments are preserved exactly as entered
