JIAA Arts Festival, Merry Artists, Jekyll Singers, Classes and Workshops
The Arts Association runs four major events a year and numerous workshops. The Merry Artist Market, which runs from Thanksgiving through the New Year, showcases holiday consignments. The Jekyll Singers Choral Group performs a Christmas Concert in December and a spring concert in March. Classes and workshops, in many artistic disciplines, are offered during fall and winter months.
The annual outdoor Arts Festival is a three-day event in March with artwork from members and local high school students judged by local professionals and faculty from area colleges. Live music, food and drink and hands on demonstrations make this a popular annual event for thousands of locals and visitors.
Shop & Gallery The Shop and the Gallery at Goodyear Cottage host monthly exhibitions from local and national artists, along with consigned artwork for sale. Demand for exhibition time and space is consistently strong, and the Gallery is booked for years in advance of a showing.
The Shop and Gallery are open Monday through Friday, from noon to 4 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm. The public is invited and admission is free.
